How to upgrade on multiple servers.

Upgrading the first server

Select the first server that you want to upgrade.

Install the programme using the downloaded installer (see How do I upgrade Crossware Mail Signature to a New Version?).

After installation has finished, check that the esig database on the server has been upgraded and has the correct version (Use the "Help About" in the Help menu). This part has now upgraded both the eSig notes database and the binary files on the first server.

Upgrading the other servers

Replicate the eSig Database
To upgrade the other servers, first you need to upgrade the eSig databases on those servers.
This is done by replicating the esig.nsf database to all other servers that you want to upgrade.

Once you have confirmed that all the servers have an upgraded eSig database (Use the "Help About" in the Help menu), then the next step is to upgrade the binary files on those servers.

Upgrade the Binary files
Open the esig.nsf database on the server that you want to upgrade.
Select the view "Install Log" or "Server Log" in the eSig database and select the action button "Install on Server" and then select the server you are installing on (the same as where the esig database is located).

Do this for all servers where you have upgraded (replicated) the eSig notes database in the previous step.

Restart each of the upgraded servers for the changes to take effect.

Note: At this stage using the manual process to push the 2.936 db or binaries to other servers is not a supported way of upgrading.
